Job Description
- Assist the supervisor with training all new and current employees according to approved work instructions, quality standards, and quality check requirements. Send out the training numbers to the production manager each shift.
- Validate labels via label verification form, and ensure all operators are using the correct labels
- Assist Supervisors with Line Clearance activities and set up for new jobs
- Audit all paperwork at each workstation (tick sheets, proc prods, and QC paperwork) at least once per shift. Report to the supervisor if any operators are not filling out their paperwork correctly.
- Daily review and initiate update/correction of current work instruction in molding department.
- Assist Supervisors with keeping the production floor and workstations clean and organized
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of carton storage area and ensure each machine is stocked with appropriate level of boxes during and at the end of the shift
- Be the backup for the supervisor when the supervisor is not at work.
- Understand, comply, and train on BEP safety rules and practices
- Report any safety concerns to Shift Supervisors and participate as a member of plant Safety team.
- Relieve machine operators during breaks
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy of each Machine Data Board
- Communicate with the previous and oncoming Lead Operators on pertinent information regarding daily findings and improvements
- Assist in processing finished pallets of product so they are ready for shipment. This includes checking all boxes for labels, wrapping the pallets, and attaching any paperwork to the pallet.
- Set daily example of Core Values and communicate to Shift Supervisor on corrective actions to improve Core Value throughout the shift
- Rework parts as required
- Ensure all production floor documentation is being followed to BEP quality standards
- Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned
