As a Finishing Operator, you will play a vital role in operating folder gluers and window machines while ensuring production quality, machine readiness, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards. This role is essential to maintaining efficient production flow, meeting quality s pecifications, and supporting the Finishing department through equipment set-ups, audits, troubleshootin g, and strong operational discipline. Your daily responsibiliti es will support both immediate production needs and long-term continuous improvement through 5S and safety activities.How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock :
- Operate folder gluer and window machines while maintaining production equipment numbers and required quality standards.
- Determine production priorities, prepare materials, and make-ready assignments to keep workflow efficient.
- Perform and document quality audits, approve job start-ups, verify job completion, and generate statistical reports.
- Support equipment readiness through machine set-up, adjustments, and basic maintenance functions.
- Follow all safety requirements, including PPE usage and monthly safety activities.
- Maintain compliance with SQF, safety policies, and 5S/housekeepin g standards.
- Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot issues and support preventative maintenance.
- Utilize production-rel ated systems such as Shop Floor, Case Inkjet, Mix Prevention System, and Robot Cells.

- Strong adherence to workplace rules and compliance procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for training and quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use measurement and testing devices.
- Ability to perform quality checks and monitor product standards.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn production systems.
- Physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting and equipment operation.
