Overview:
Pressman is responsible for assisting with setting up, operating and troubleshooting offset Printing Press (Heidelberg CD 102) to meet daily production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner. He/she must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in running a Heidelberg CD 102. Examine job tickets to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions Set up and operate presses to peak performance. Maintain a clean and orderly work area Assist in mounting plates and other items needed to process work Performs preventative maintenance like lubrication and minor adjustments to rollers as well as cleaning of press. Communicate effectively with your coworkers. Willingness to work weekends Requirements/ Education and training Good communication and writing skills are essential to appropriately interpret production tickets. Interaction with co-workers in a professional manner is a key component of the position. Five years of experience running a Heidelberg CD 102 and troubleshooting presses. Experience in Heidelberg CD 102 with UV capabilities preferred A High School diploma/GED along with the equivalent industry related experience and training, or trade/vocational schooling Physical duties Continuous periods of standing while running equipment (8-12 hour shifts) Continuous movements: bending, twisting and reaching while running equipment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision to be able to accurately distinguish color variation and ability to adjust focus
