Finishing Department Technician CGS Imaging - 3.2 Holland, OH Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Packing Shop math High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Dimensional measurements Industrial equipment Welding Manufacturing company experience Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description The Finishing Department Technician is responsible for completing a variety of finishing operations for large-format graphics, banners, signage, and visual communication products. This position performs laminating, mounting, trimming, contour-cut finishing, vinyl welding, sewing, grommet installation, quality inspection, packaging, and material preparation to produce finished products that meet customer specifications and company quality standards. Training is provided on specialized finishing equipment and processes. Success in this role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, quality, and on-time production. Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform laminating, mounting, trimming, contour-cut finishing, weeding, masking, and premasking printed graphics.
  • Finish banners by welding, sewing, hemming, reinforcing, trimming, and installing grommets.
  • Operate laminators, vinyl welders, industrial sewing machines, automated grommet equipment, cutters, and other finishing equipment.
  • Read and follow work orders, production drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, dimensions, alignment, welds, stitching, cleanliness, and overall workmanship.
  • Fold, roll, label, package, kit, and stage completed products for shipping or installation.
  • Safely handle large-format graphics, rigid substrates, banner materials, and specialty media.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of finishing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. Equipment & Materials Training is provided on:
  • Cold and hot laminators
  • Vinyl welding systems
  • Automated grommet equipment
  • Trimming and cutting equipment
  • Material handling and packaging systems Materials include pressure-sensitive vinyl, banner materials, mesh, polyester fabrics, rigid substrates, transfer tape, overlaminates, mounting adhesives, and specialty print media. Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math, measuring, and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred
  • Experience in large-format printing, sign manufacturing, banner finishing, or industrial fabrication.
  • Experience operating laminators, vinyl welders, cutters, or grommet equipment.
  • Knowledge of large-format graphics materials and finishing techniques. Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements for cutting, trimming, sewing, laminating, and finishing operations.
