Job Description

BINDERY MACHINE OPERATOR
(Experienced Only Perfect Binder): The Bindery Operator is responsible for completing all finishing services in compliance with job specifications and quality standards. This person must schedule workloads to meet customer time requirements. In addition, he or she will perform daily and weekly maintenance on all assigned bindery equipment to ensure optimum output. This person is a vital part of the overall customer service provided and will work closely with other team members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification. Strong interpersonal skills. Good mathematical skills. Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance. 2+ years operating a perfect binder Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to work station.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operation of Equipment:
Comply with all OSHA safety requirements. Operate and maintain equipment following daily, weekly schedules.
Hand Work:
Hand assemble (collate) pages in order. Hand fold pages to specifications. Stack and glue padding jobs. Insert pages.
Packaging:
Monitor quality on all jobs being packaged. Shrink-wrap/box jobs for customer pickup or delivery. Utilize job stuffers.
Bindery Supply Inventory:
Daily checklist of equipment supplies. Daily checklist of stock items needed.
End of Day Procedures:
Clean area of scrap. Dispose of materials in compliance with EPA standards. Schedule next day's work. Daily recording of production and spoilage — using
Daily Bindery Production Report General:
Maintain clean and organize bindery production area. Abide by company policies/procedures as outlined in the employee manual.

Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
