Job DescriptionThe position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipmentPerform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.

Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the workClean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as requiredPerforms periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer

2nd - Monday - Friday 3pm to 11pm

$2000 (new hires only)QualificationsRequires thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifiactions, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignmentsSkill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfullySkill to make a variety of difficult precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipmentSkill inroutine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipmentKnowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being runSkill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctlyAdditional InformationAdditional InformationThe salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $20.19 - $33.78 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus of $2000, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
