Production Planning:
Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for CNC machining, linear grinding, and drilling/tapping lines keeping customer requirements in mind.
Capacity Management:
Analyze machine run times, setup times, and maintenance windows to optimize throughput.
Operational Sequencing:
Determine optimal job routing to balance constraints between precision linear grinding tolerances and high-speed drilling and tapping workflows.
Labor Allocation:
Coordinate shift schedules for CNC machinists, operators, and setup personnel based on workload.
Workflow Optimization:
Identify operational bottlenecks on the shop floor and implement immediate recovery schedules.
Inventory Coordination:
Collaborate with materials and procurement teams to ensure raw stock, grinding wheels, and cutting tools are available.
Software Management:
Utilize and update internal company software to track job progress and resource utilization.
Cross-Functional Communication:
Give directions to the shipping clerk, Update plant management, sales, and quality assurance teams on production status and delays.
Related functions include:
Incoming processing (product identification, etc.), shipping (packing slips, certifications etc.), related reports and paperwork processing.
