Brake Press Set-Up / Operator We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Brake Press Set-Up / Operator to set up and operate press brake equipment to accurately form sheet metal according to blueprints, work orders, and customer specifications. You'll be successful in this role if you: Set up jobs correctly the first time — selecting the right tooling, loading programs, and making accurate machine adjustments. Produce quality parts consistently — meeting blueprint specifications, dimensions, bend angles, and tolerances. Catch problems early — inspecting your work, recognizing when something is off, and making the necessary adjustments rather than passing defects forward. Work safely and efficiently — following safety procedures, properly handling material, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Take ownership of your work — you don't just operate the machine; you understand the job, monitor the process, and take pride in the finished product. Solve problems independently — using mechanical aptitude and experience to troubleshoot tooling, machine, material, and setup issues. Communicate and work as a team — asking questions when needed and keeping supervisors and teammates informed of issues or changing priorities. Key responsibilities include:

Set up and operate press brake equipment for a variety of jobs and materials. Select and install proper punches, dies, and tooling. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Adjust machine settings, back gauges, bend angles, and other parameters. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and other measuring tools. Make adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements. Complete production and quality documentation accurately. Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a safe, clean workspace. Communicate production, quality, and equipment issues promptly. What We're Looking For Previous press brake set-up/operator experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements, dimensions, and angles. Comfortable using precision measuring tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Good basic math skills, including fractions and decimals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently while being a strong team contributor.
