Job Description

Overview Position Summary:
The Forge Press Operator must be capable of setting up a forge press in a minimal amount of time. The operation consists of transferring a heated billet to forged product by processing through a forge press which includes trim operation. The individual must be able to set-up and operate an induction heater, reducer roll, and pierce press. Duties include clean-up, minor machine repair, stocking of billets, hopper feeding, and other duties assigned by Supervisor. Responsibilities
KEY TASKS
Work from drawings, specifications, and formulas in manufacturing involving detail. The use of and interpretation of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, scales, electric meters and oscilloscopes. Set up and operation of Forge Press. Set up and operation of Induction Heater. Set up and operation of reducer roll. Set up and operation of Pierce Press. Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
The uses of judgment to comply with instructions. Work involves prescribed routines, methods or practices which allow for the making of minor decisions. The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions.
