Job Description
Description Set up and operate brake press machines to produce parts according to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine appropriate machine settings Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality of parts Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards Troubleshoot issues with the machine and perform regular maintenance as needed Collaborate with other team members to ensure production deadlines are met Maintain a clean and safe work area Use various measuring, locating, and testing tools Maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses Willing to cross-train in other areas when necessary to meet changing customer demand Follow all safety procedures, support a culture of a safe and healthy workplace Maintain proper housekeeping of work center Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Brake Press Operator
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders
- Knowledge of brake press machine operations and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with measurements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
