Job Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Slitter Operator or Press Operator, where you'll play a vital role in transforming paper into precise, high-quality product. This energetic position requires a proactive mindset, keen attention to detail, and a passion for manufacturing excellence. You will operate advanced machinery such as gravure printers and slitting equipment to produce products that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure smooth production flow, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in our printing processes. Duties Slitter Operator Set up and operate slitter machines to cut large rolls of paper into specified widths and lengths with precision and efficiency Operates slitting machine to slit continuous lengths of material, for example printed cardboard, metallic foil, paper, plastic, or film into strips or smaller rolls of specified width. Mounts rolls of the material on machine unwind supports and threads material over tension bar, and between feed rollers, and under cutting groups/blades. Laps end of slit material around tubes or cores. Starts machine and observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding. Skills Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes Requires mechanical ability Reading & writing comprehension and mathematics Visual, especially color acuity for detecting flawed/substandard printing is vital to this position Basic computer skills to operate a computer to obtain customer job specifications/ISO procedures for processing and converting of material labels. Work requires exerting up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally to move/lift objects vertically and/or horizontally. Work requires employees to stand/walk occasionally with frequent reaching, stooping, bending, with occasionally crouching, kneeling, and twisting to move product or parts to and from machines. Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers for quality control

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of demonstrated work experience preferred.
