Duties Operate collating machinery to arrange printed materials in the specified order, following job instructions and specifications. Set up and change over machines for different printing jobs, ensuring proper alignment, color accuracy, and readiness for production. Monitor quality during the collating process, inspecting for errors, misalignment, or missing pages. Adjust machine settings to accommodate different job requirements, including paper type, size, numbering and binding style. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of collating equipment to keep it in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime. Coordinate with printing staff to manage production schedules, meet deadlines, and ensure smooth workflow. Inspect completed collated materials for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications. Document production activities and any issues encountered during operation. Train new staff on the proper use of collating equipment and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety regulations. Experience Proven experience operating printing machinery such as a continuous or snap out collator is desired but not required. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform machine operation, adjustments, and routine maintenance on industrial equipment. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
