Job Summary:

The Flexo Gluer Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring a flexographic printer/gluer machine used to produce corrugated boxes. This position ensures machines are properly set up, production runs efficiently, and finished boxes meet quality and customer specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up and operate flexographic printing and gluing equipment. Load corrugated sheets and materials into the machine. Set machine settings for different box sizes, print requirements, and production runs. Operate folding/gluing equipment to produce finished corrugated cartons. Monitor ink, glue, registration, alignment, and print quality throughout production. Perform quality checks to ensure boxes are properly printed, folded, scored, and glued. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production and quality standards. Read and follow job tickets, production schedules, and customer specifications. Inspect finished products for defects, including poor glue adhesion, misprints, damaged sheets, or incorrect dimensions. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate larger mechanical problems to maintenance. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete production paperwork and accurately document quantities, waste, and downtime. Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements. Assist with machine changeovers, cleaning, and routine preventative maintenance. Work closely with other production team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a Flexo Folder Gluer, Flexo Gluer, or similar corrugated box equipment preferred. Experience in a corrugated packaging or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and understand production specifications and job tickets. Mechanical aptitude and ability to make basic machine adjustments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and move materials as required.
