We are a medium-sized commercial printing company seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team. This position involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of print finishing and bindery equipment while helping support inventory and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Operate and learn to operate production equipment including folders, perfect binders, booklet makers, UV coaters, and related finishing equipment. Set up jobs, monitor quality, and maintain production efficiency. Troubleshoot equipment and production issues using logical problem-solving skills. Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs. Stock paper inventory and organize printed merchandise for customer orders. Read and follow job instructions, specifications, and equipment manuals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Good common sense and a logical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good reading skills and basic math skills, including the use of measurements, rulers, and production specifications. Ability to lift and move paper stocks and finished products as needed. Printing, bindery, manufacturing, or equipment maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
