Press Operator MJ Morgan Group - 4.1 Richmond, VA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Industrial equipment adjustment Dimensional measurements Equipment adjustment (production tasks) Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced Envelope Adjuster/ Press Operator to operate, set up, and adjust envelope manufacturing and printing equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with press operations, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust envelope converting and printing equipment. Perform make-ready and changeovers, including adjustments for different envelope sizes, stocks, and production requirements. Operate printing presses and monitor print quality throughout production runs. Troubleshoot mechanical, printing, and feeding issues and make adjustments as needed. Inspect finished envelopes for proper dimensions, print registration, folds, seals, and overall quality. Read and follow production specifications, work orders, and quality requirements. Make routine adjustments to rollers, feeders, guides, plates, and other machine components. Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Communicate production issues, material needs, and equipment concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel. Qualifications Previous experience as an envelope adjuster, envelope machine operator, press operator, or similar manufacturing position. Press operator experience strongly preferred. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust production machinery. Experience with setup, make-ready, and machine changeovers. Ability to read work orders, specifications, and measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle production materials. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Preferred Experience Experience operating web or sheet-fed printing presses. Experience with envelope manufacturing/converting equipment. Experience with flexographic, offset, or other #123
