Job Description
Shift:
4/10's Nights Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm to 4:00 am Position Purpose Under the general direction of the Department management, the Lead Operator is responsible for the production and performance of assigned Molding operators in an organized fashion. This performance entails organizing the efforts of assigned molding operators in processes related to the production of parts to company and customer requirements and specifications. Leads will work to ensure that molding operators are properly trained in production methods, procedures, and safe work practices. Requirements Required experience in Injection Molding Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to read and understand English and basic math. Blueprint reading proficiency desirable. Basic computer skills desirable (MS Office, Excel, Word). Demonstrate and achieve a satisfactory measured performance for the Duties & Responsibilities detailed below. Acceptable attendance record. Duties & Responsibilities Lead, assign, schedule, organize and coordinate the work of molding operators. Help motivate and train operators. Ensure that operators understand production methods, procedures, and safe work practices. Prioritize workload, prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee both work content, product and documentation Demonstrate use of hand tools, fixtures, light power tools, and equipment. Perform production-related duties as required or directed. Insure timeliness and accuracy of all data and documentation related to work orders. Perform electronic and physical transactions. Communicate shortages and delivery issues clearly, accurately, and timely to all appropriate parties. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and insure housekeeping standards are applied and maintained. Insure department and company policies are adhered to. Maintain work order on-time performance, quality performance, scrap minimization efforts and all other departmental established goals and metrics. Works with and maintains break schedulesShift:
