Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced LEAD Screen Printer to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in silk screen printing on garments, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. This role requires hands-on experience with screen printing equipment, inks, screens, and the full setup-to-finish process.
Responsibilities:
Operate manual and/or automatic screen-printing presses Set up screens and align prints accurately Mix and match inks to achieve desired colors Maintain and clean screens, tools, and equipment Inspect garments for print quality, consistency, and defects Work closely with the production team to meet daily output goals Troubleshoot common printing issues such as misregistration or ink bleeding Ensure workspace cleanliness and safety standards are met
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of screen printing experience (silk screen on clothing preferred) Familiarity with plastisol and water-based inks Understanding of mesh counts, emulsion, and screen reclaiming Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 50 lbs Must provide professional references or portfolio of past screen-printing work
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in garment manufacturing or apparel decoration Knowledge of press maintenance and screen burning
