Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of print production processes, including quality control measures and layout design. Responsibilities Operate various types of printing presses, ensuring optimal performance and quality output. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimize downtime. Collaborate with the prepress team to prepare layouts and ensure designs meet specifications. Implement quality control checks throughout the printing process to maintain high standards. Utilize graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, to assist in layout design and typography adjustments as needed. Manage inventory of inks, substrates, and other materials required for print jobs. Assist in training new staff on press operation and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role within the printing industry. Strong knowledge of quality control processes related to print production. Familiarity with layout design principles and prepress procedures. Experience with screen printing techniques is a plus. Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding of typography and print advertising standards. Ability to operate a forklift safely is preferred but not required. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
