The Halm Jet Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Halm Jet Press equipment to produce high-quality printed envelopes and related products. This position ensures production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met while minimizing waste and downtime. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Halm Jet Press printing equipment according to job specifications and production schedules. Review job tickets and verify materials, inks, plates, and setup requirements prior to production. Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain customer specifications. Troubleshoot equipment, print quality, and registration issues to minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of press equipment. Conduct quality inspections and document production and quality data as required. Ensure proper ink management, color consistency, and compliance with quality standards. Train and assist less experienced press operators and production staff as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and operational guidelines. Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other production team members to meet production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience operating Halm Jet Press equipment or similar envelope printing presses. Strong knowledge of printing processes, press setup, ink systems, registration, and quality control procedures. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production schedules, and quality specifications. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment maintenance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience printing envelopes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Knowledge of postal regulations and envelope production processes. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
