Chanhassen, MN Shift Options & Pay Day Shift (Rotating Schedule): 7:00 AM•7:00
PM Pay:
$24.00•$36.00 per hour
Schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday | Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Night Shift (Front Half Schedule): 7:00 PM•7:00
AM Pay:
$24.00•$36.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other
Thursday Shift Differential:
Additional $2.00 per hour Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Press Operator II to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain sheetfed printing press equipment, including the Heidelberg 640C press. This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed products while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with offset printing processes, press setup and operation, color management, and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing or commercial printing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain sheetfed press equipment, including the Heidelberg 640C press. Perform all make-ready activities, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and registration. Inspect plates and cylinders for defects and proper image positioning. Make color corrections and press adjustments to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Monitor production runs for print quality, registration, and efficiency. Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs as recommended by the manufacturer. Read and interpret job specifications to determine appropriate press settings, materials, and production requirements. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Follow all company safety and quality procedures. Qualifications Experience operating sheetfed or offset printing presses. Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret job specifications and production documentation. Strong understanding of press capabilities, settings, and material requirements. Experience making precise machine adjustments and control settings. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs. Knowledge of packing pressure requirements and print quality standards. Proficiency using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, for proper plate alignment. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
