Press Operator III•Web Press (12-Hour Day & Night Shifts)
Location:
Chanhassen, MN Shift Options & Pay Day Shift (Rotating Schedule): 7:00 AM•7:00
PM Pay:
$24.05•$36.57 per hour Night Shift (Front Half Schedule): 7:00 PM•7:00
AM Pay:
$28.75•$42.11 per hour
Shift Differential:
Additional pay available for night shift Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Press Operator III to set up, operate, adjust, and maintain web press equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience operating multi-color printing presses, performing press setups and changeovers, troubleshooting print quality issues, and conducting routine equipment maintenance. Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure and multi-color offset printing presses. Produce single-color, two-color, and multi-color print work with critical color consistency and registration requirements. Review job specifications and determine proper press setup based on production requirements. Complete all make-ready activities, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, adjusting tension, and setting registration. Inspect plates and cylinders for defects and verify proper image positioning. Perform color corrections and press adjustments to meet customer and quality specifications. Monitor production runs to ensure consistent print quality and efficiency. Clean, lubricate, and maintain press equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs. Replace worn or damaged components as needed to minimize downtime. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. Qualifications Experience operating and maintaining web press, gravure press, or multi-color offset press equipment. Strong understanding of printing processes, color management, registration, and print quality standards. Ability to read and interpret job specifications and production documentation. Knowledge of press capabilities, materials, and setup requirements. Experience performing equipment setup, major adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Skilled in using micrometers and precision measuring equipment for plate alignment and setup. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
