Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic printing team as a Printing Assistant, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will drive the production of high-quality printed materials. In this energetic role, you will support various stages of the printing process, from prepress preparations to final quality checks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the creation of vibrant print advertising, packaging, and custom graphics. Duties Assist with prepress tasks including layout design, typography adjustments, and color management to prepare files for printing. Operate and maintain printing equipment such as flexo presses, CNC machines, and other manufacturing tools to ensure optimal performance. Support screen printing processes by setting up screens, mixing inks, and monitoring print runs for consistency and quality. Conduct quality control inspections throughout production to identify and resolve issues related to color accuracy, registration, or material defects. Manage inventory of printing supplies and materials, ensuring timely replenishment for continuous workflow. Collaborate with graphic designers using Adobe Creative Suite to review designs and make necessary adjustments before printing. Support machining and finishing tasks such as cutting, trimming, or assembling printed products to meet specifications. Operate forklifts safely when handling large rolls of material or finished products within the manufacturing area. Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards and operational protocols. Experience Prior experience in screen printing or flexo press operation is highly desirable. Knowledge of prepress processes including layout design, typography, and color management techniques. Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Understanding of manufacturing environments with exposure to CNC machinery or machining processes is a plus. Experience in quality control procedures within a print or manufacturing setting. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
