Position Overview 425 Apparel is seeking an experienced Lead Screen Print Press Operator to join our growing production team. Reporting directly to the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager, this role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automatic screen printing presses to ensure efficient, high-quality output. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering top-tier finished products. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate automatic screen printing presses for apparel such as t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and more Load and align screens, inks, and squeegees for accurate print execution Interpret work orders, artwork specifications, and job tickets to ensure correct placement, registration, and color accuracy Perform ongoing quality control checks during print runs and identify defects or inconsistencies Troubleshoot press or print issues quickly to minimize downtime Follow production schedules and meet daily/weekly deadlines Break down presses after production runs, including removal of screens, inks, and squeegees Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety and maintenance standards Assist in other departments as needed Additional Duties Review work orders and prepare materials for multi-color print jobs Assist with loading garments, applying ink, and pre-counting materials before production Operate equipment used for coating, reclaiming, imaging, and developing screens Move materials throughout the facility using pallet jacks and RF scanners Maintain cleanliness of equipment, including weekly press washdowns Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years of experience operating automatic screen printing presses Experience with ROQ presses preferred (not required) Familiarity with screen meshes, ink types, squeegee durometers, and garment materials Experience with M&R (Sportsman, Gauntlet, Cobra, Stryker), Brother, Challenger, or similar presses is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Strong hand-eye coordination and color differentiation skills Education & Requirements High school diploma or GED required Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English Must be able to pass a background check Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethicCompensation, Benefits & Growth Opportunities Paid Time Off:
