POSITION SUMMARY

The Screen Printer will be responsible for prepping and exposing screens, setting up and printing 1 and 2-color on an automatic flat press and manual flat stations, building of custom jigs as necessary, as well as textile 1 and 2-color printing. The selected individual will also manually mix inks and should have the visual ability to match color.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Operate automatic, flat, and textile screen printing presses, including set-up, printing, and tear-down of jobs with attention to detail, high quality of print, accuracy and speed. Expose screens. Read and complete work orders accurately. Identify and troubleshoot common screen printing problems. Clean equipment including removing ink from screens, squeegees, press, and tools. Prep and coat screens. Manually mix inks and match colors. Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times. Maintain equipment as required and notify management of any maintenance or repairs as required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Ability to read, write and comprehend complex written or oral instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to quickly perform common mathematical calculations such as multiplying in dozens or calculating print rates. Is self-motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly lift and /or move up 70lbs. Regularly stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities include sharp vision, focus, depth perception and ability to identify colors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

All work is in an environmentally controlled warehouse environment. However, temperatures will adjust with the seasons. Requires employees to physically work in close proximity with a variety of products such as packaged paints, solvents, gels, latex, plastics and more.

EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
