This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have prior experience operating a printing press or wrapping/packing machine. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality printed materials across film, paper, and specialty substrates while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. You will monitor production performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure consistent output. This position follows a 2-2-3 schedule, working 12-hour static shifts and averaging approximately 15 working days per month. The primary need is for nights (6:00pm-6:00am), though day shifts may be considered for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and oversee assigned printing press jobs
  • Set up and run narrow or wide web presses using water-based or solvent inks
  • Perform 1-10 color surface and reverse print jobs as required
  • Set up cylinders, plates, sleeves, and anilox rolls
  • Monitor production quality, output, and waste to meet customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and escalate to maintenance when necessary
  • Splice new rolls to existing web and thread machines when required
  • Shaft new rolls of paper at the start of shifts
  • Check ink levels and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide oversight and direction to Press Assistants during each shift
  • Train and coach assistants to support production goals
  • Identify and respond to safety, quality, and material issues in real time Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a printing press or wrapping/packing machine (non-entry level)
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule (primarily nights)
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using measuring tools
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt in a technical manufacturing environment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of flexographic printing experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
