Job Title:
Aerospace Assembler Job Description This role involves assembling aerospace-grade products by accurately interpreting complex engineering documentation and performing precise mechanical and structural assembly tasks. You will ensure that all work meets rigorous quality and safety standards while supporting the production of aerospace, space, and satellite components in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions to assemble aerospace-grade products accurately. Perform precise mechanical and structural assembly tasks using a variety of hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and templates. Conduct in-process inspections to verify that assemblies meet specifications and quality standards. Perform functional tests on assembled components and products to ensure proper operation and performance. Document all assembly and testing data accurately and completely, following established procedures and documentation standards. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and safety procedures, including compliance with AS9100 requirements. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances. Handle and position components safely, including performing heavy lifting of up to 40 lbs as needed during assembly operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with aerospace manufacturing best practices. Collaborate with team members and support staff to resolve assembly issues and continuously improve processes. Essential Skills 1-4 years of assembly experience, preferably within aerospace, space, or satellite manufacturing environments. Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and detailed work instructions. Proficiency in mechanical and structural assembly using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and templates. Experience conducting in-process inspections and performing functional tests on assembled components. Ability to document assembly and testing data accurately and consistently. Knowledge of and adherence to quality standards and safety procedures, including AS9100. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Capability to perform heavy lifting up to 40 lbs safely during routine work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work in a regulated environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in aerospace, space, or satellite manufacturing is highly preferred. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality expectations. Comfort working with a variety of mechanical components and assemblies. Ability to follow structured processes and standardized work instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues. Work Environment You will work in a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. within an aerospace manufacturing facility. The environment is structured, production-oriented, and focused on precision and quality. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, templates, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. The role involves standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, in a shop-floor setting designed to meet aerospace manufacturing standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
