The primary responsibility is assembling classic vehicles after they come out of paint. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail is critical. These are freshly painted restored vehicles, so components must be installed correctly and carefully without damaging finished surfaces. Duties Reassemble classic vehicles after paint Install and align exterior body panels with assistance as needed Install interior components, exterior trim and moldings Install glass, window regulators and weatherstripping Prepare engine bays for engine and transmission installation Organize parts and hardware throughout the assembly process Identify missing, damaged or incorrect parts for ordering before they delay the project Assist with general mechanical and electrical installation as needed Protect fresh paint, trim, glass and interior surfaces during assembly Work independently and keep projects moving efficiently Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and general automotive knowledge Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently without constant supervision General automotive electrical knowledge Automotive assembly, restoration or repair experience Classic car restoration experience strongly preferred Wiring experience is a plus
