Job Description

Production Line Worker Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Potpourri Bagging & Packaging Operator to join our home fragrance manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring, bagging, sealing, and labeling various potpourri blends and home fragrance products. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production environment, maintains high standards of quality control, and enjoys working with highly scented botanicals.
Key Responsibilities Production & Bagging:
Accurately measure, weigh, and scoop bulk potpourri blends into various packaging formats (e.g., cellophane bags, sachet pouches, boxes).
Quality Control:
Visually inspect potpourri blends for consistency, ensuring correct botanical distribution and rejecting any damaged materials or debris. Verify that seals are airtight and secure.
Labeling & Packing:
Apply product labels, barcodes, and warning stickers accurately according to product specifications. Pack finished bags into master cartons for shipping.
Inventory & Material Handling:
Assist in moving bulk materials from mixing areas to bagging stations. Keep track of packaging supplies (bags, ribbons, labels) and report low stock.
Safety & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation to prevent cross-contamination between different fragrance profiles. Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or kitting roles is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods (10+ hours per shift). Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements (scooping, tying ribbons, placing labels). Ability to lift up to 30lbs periodically (bulk bags of botanicals).
Scent Sensitivity:
Must be comfortable working in an environment with strong, concentrated aromas (essential oils, synthetic fragrances, and dried botanicals). Attention to
Detail:
High level of precision needed to ensure correct weights, neat packaging presentation, and accurate labeling.
Basic Math:
Ability to count, add, and subtract quickly for inventory and production tracking.
Work Environment Setting:
A fast-paced manufacturing facility. The air is highly fragrant due to the nature of home fragrance products.
