Job Title:
Production Worker Job Description We are seeking diligent candidates to work in our manufacturing environment, creating quality windows and patio doors. All candidates will be cross-trained in multiple areas within the facility.Responsibilities Double Hung:
Involves heavy lifting, repetitive work, and requires the ability to read schedules/labels.Direct Set:
Requires the ability to work independently, learn about different materials and colors, and read paperwork and labels.CSMT:
Role involves using a sash hanger, tape measure, and reading schedules.Patio Door:
Involves heavier lifting and tape measure use. Essential Skills Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (minimum 6 months). Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch. Solid attendance record. Additional Skills & Qualifications High attention to detail. Awareness of surroundings. Willingness to ask questions when unsure. Adaptable to cross-training in multiple areas. Comfortable lifting 50lbs. Able to speak English, whether secondary language or not. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a fully on-site position in West Des Moines, Iowa, with the 1st shift running from 6am-2:30pm, five days a week. The current schedule involves working 32-40 hours a week, with preparations for a busy season where there will be 50-hour work weeks and a requirement to work two Saturdays a month. We operate in a manufacturing environment across three facilities, which are not temperature controlled. The team size averages around 100 employees per facility. Dress code requires work-appropriate shirts, jeans or shorts, and mandatory steel-toed shoes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
