Job Description
Assembly Technician Job Description As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for lifting parts weighing up to 50 pounds onto an assembly line. For heavier parts, a small hoist is available to assist in lifting. You will follow instructions from a computer screen to determine the next steps in the assembly process. The role involves operating basic hand tools to assemble products and may include repetitive tasks. Responsibilities Lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds onto the assembly line. Use a small hoist for lifting heavier products. Follow instructions on a computer screen for assembly processes. Operate basic hand tools, including air rivet guns and battery-powered drills. Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision. Essential Skills Experience with assembly and production processes. Proficient in using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift 50 pounds. Work Environment The work environment includes multiple shift options: 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Employees enjoy two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch, with flexibility to adjust lunch breaks. Voluntary overtime is available, with 1st shift able to work before or after their scheduled hours and 3rd shift available to work after their shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
