Role:

Perform assembly or sub-assembly of medical device products and prototypes in an entry-level position under close supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products/prototypes and perform special assembly requests with engineers and supervisors. Record product build data on required build records and documentation. Alert leads/supervisors to material, process, or procedure issues, and work with team members to hit production goals. Learn and master at least one manufacturing procedure, and train other assemblers on certified procedures as directed. Adhere to all quality, safety, compliance, and company policies, keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe. Meet production standards and metrics using time and resources efficiently. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (or equivalent), 0 to 1 year of manufacturing experience, basic math, and measurement skills (US/metric scales, rulers). Ability to read, write, and speak English; perform small-part assembly using microscopes/automated equipment; follow work instructions; work in a diverse environment; and work overtime when needed. 1+ year of manufacturing experience (preferably in medical devices) and general knowledge of cleanroom procedures preferred. Extended periods in a cleanroom with strict gowning, hygiene, and PPE requirements (gloves, safety glasses, gowns); potential exposure to machinery and chemicals. Extended sitting/standing; occasional bending, twisting, reaching; use of computers. Precision hand-eye coordination for microscope assembly; frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, and wrists (gripping, pinching, twisting). Lift, push, or pull up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
