This hands-on role focuses on building custom wooden crates and packaging solutions using construction-grade power tools while meeting safety, quality, and production standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Build custom wood crates, bases, skids, and tops using construction-grade power tools (nail guns, staple guns, drills, grinders, hammers, tape measures) Measure materials accurately and follow cut sheets and blueprints within a 1/8-inch tolerance Read, interpret, and identify potential errors in cut sheets and stenciling Use ladders safely when assembling crate tops (caps) Apply paint, spray paint, rollers, or adhesives according to crate specifications Log in and out of production jobs using basic manufacturing software Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping and disposing of wood and foam debris

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED At least 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction, landscaping, or similar work using power tools (preferred) Basic computer skills for job tracking and production logging Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly (heavier with assistance) Strong attention to safety and quality Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Forklift or pallet jack experience a plus
