Wood Assembler Job Description The Wood Assembler is responsible for constructing subassemblies and final assemblies of customer products. This role involves operating a variety of assembly and machining equipment, including saws, nail guns, drills, and clamps. The Wood Assembler will also maintain a safe and clean working environment. Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety policies. Read and follow fixture CAD drawings to meet consistency and design standards. Inspect parts and log rejects according to company and customer quality standards. Ensure daily parts prepping for production is completed. Assemble and prep fixtures for final assembly and subassemblies, ensuring correct fit. Alert supervisor of any assembly problems with details and provide possible solutions. Perform end-of-day cleanup of workbench/station and immediate area. Report daily completion records to Assembly Lead and Floor Manager. Perform other job-related duties and tasks as directed by the supervisor. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret a tape measure to 1/16" increments. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings. Basic computer skills and ability to download program files from a network server. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to load and unload 4' sheets of plywood material onto a machine table. Effective verbal and written communication skills with team members. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with tape measure, mechanical aptitude, hand tools, power tools, and saw operation. Experience in light assembly and computer operation. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large warehouse where customized display cases and store fixtures are designed and built to reflect unique brand identities. Collaborate with a team to ensure consistency across all locations while meeting budget and deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
