We're looking for an experienced engine builder to join our automotive repair shop and fabrication business. This is hands-on work building engines right — clean, measured, and to spec. What you'll do: Build, rebuild, and assemble stock and performance engines from teardown to final assembly Inspect, clean, and measure components, and check clearances and tolerances with micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision tools Follow torque specs and proper assembly procedures, and blueprint builds where needed Diagnose engine wear and failure and recommend the right repair or rebuild path Keep accurate notes on parts, measurements, and work performed on each build Coordinate with the rest of the shop on machining, parts, and timelines, and keep your work area clean and organized What we're looking for: Proven experience as an engine builder, with references or examples of your work Strong knowledge of engine fundamentals, tolerances, and proper assembly Your own basic tools, reliability, and pride in doing the job right the first time Experience with performance builds is a plus $28-$34 per hour, based on experience.
