Sets up and operates conventional and special purpose machines to deburr metal parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece to setup finished product requirements. Set-Up and Operate different types of power hand tools, including bench and electric drills and air and electric grinders. Deburr parts in accordance with production methods, tolerances, and written and oral instructions. Uses files, deburring knives, and sand paper to hand finished machined metal parts. Holds tight tolerances and high-quality standards Removes defects and smooth even surfaces Cleans and organizes work area. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. EXPERIENCE
Combination of applicable education, certification, experience, proven skills, and/or work history providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Minimum 5 years experience in shop environment desired. Ability to read drawings. Forklift and crane operation experience preferred.
