Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assembler Water Spider to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will serve as a key support in the assembly process, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and components to production lines. Your responsibilities will include efficiently retrieving, transporting, and delivering parts and supplies, thereby enabling seamless manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Safely handle and transport raw materials, components, and finished parts within the production area using specialized industrial tools and manual handling techniques. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production documents to accurately identify required parts and supplies. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify part specifications before delivery. Operate power tools, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and other mechanical assembly equipment to assist in the preparation of materials for assembly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency in accordance with PPE use guidelines. Support assembly teams by providing necessary tools or materials promptly to minimize downtime. Assist with machine setup or machining tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and technical instructions. Follow detailed instructions for interpreting technical drawings and mechanical blueprints during material handling processes. Ensure compliance with safety standards by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Ensure production lines receive materials just in time, preventing work stoppages and delays. This will require implementing and responding to replenishment signals and triggers. Ensure kits are complete when delivered to the assembly cell. Stage materials at the point of use and replenish as necessary. Maintain an orderly and accessible stock of materials, optimizing layout for efficient retrieval. Work closely with stakeholders to anticipate material needs and adjust workflows accordingly. Implement and refine lean practices, ensuring consistent and reliable replenishment processes. Proactively identify shortages and inefficiencies; implement solutions to optimize material flow. Maintain safety protocols and 5S principles, contributing to an organized and safe environment. Track material movement accurately, ensuring data integrity in warehouse management systems. Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and production document comprehension. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes including soldering, machining, or use of specialized industrial tools. Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurement verification and part calculations. Experience handling power tools, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and manual handling equipment safely. Basic understanding of mechanical concepts relevant to manufacturing operations. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to support efficient workflow. Experience with kanban, just-in-time replenishment, and warehouse management systems. Strong ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions. Forklift and material handling equipment certification preferred. Capable of lifting up to 50lbs. Utilized material moving equipment such as pallet jacks and material carts.
