Job Description
Assembly Assistant/Technician Consumer electronics manufacturer seeks individual with experience and competency in the assembly of products for entry level position. The product is highly cosmetic and requires attention to very specific details and strict adherence to procedure. Must demonstrate some mechanical aptitude and have the capability of working successfully with both small and large delicate components. Position will report to production supervisors and operations managers.
Must have the following:
- Excellent hand dexterity
- Familiarity with hand, power, air, and measurement tools
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and process
- Ability to manage time effectively in order to finish tasks needing completion in a timely manner
- Ability to work with others in a friendly and professional manner in a highly collaborative environment
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong technical and analytical problem solving skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal direction.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Performing sub-assembly to assist assembly technicians
- Performing inspection, and packaging of mechanical and electronic devices
- Assembling high-precision mechanical and electronic components, using assembly drawings, and bills of material
- Measuring and counting materials
- Working from engineering drawings, written work instructions, and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Performing a variety of operational tasks to support production and manufacturing
