Long Beach, CA Position Summary Kimco Staffing is seeking experienced Welders / Fabrication Technicians to support a short-term manufacturing surge. Candidates should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with Engineering to build and improve tooling. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and weld tooling and steel components (Flux Core/FCAW) Fit, prep, and clean materials prior to welding; set up welding equipment and jig tables Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and weld quality; identify defects and perform repairs Support process improvements and troubleshoot tooling/design issues with Engineering Operate fabrication equipment (vertical band saws, grinders/sanders); maintain safe, clean workspace Qualifications 3+ years welding/metal fabrication experience Strong Flux Core (FCAW) on steel experience Blueprint/fabrication drawing interpretation Experience with tooling/fixture fabrication preferred Quality inspection capability; mechanical aptitude; ability to meet aggressive schedules Compliance (ITAR) This role is subject to ITAR
