PM Travel Requirement:
Candidates must be available to travel to San Antonio, TX for 1-2 weeks at a time for training. Travel, hotel, and per diem for food will be covered by client. Job Overview The Production Assembler is responsible for assembling products according to blueprints and routing instructions while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. This role requires the use of hand tools, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts according to specifications. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure assembly quality. Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow all machine operation and machine guarding procedures. Maintain reports related to productivity, quality, and safety. Utilize hand tools such as automatic wire strippers, handheld screwdrivers, and drill guns. Maintain inventory of products at workstations. Perform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards. Identify and report product defects. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards. Maintain accurate and timely production data. Report safety hazards, accidents, and near misses to management. Properly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks, and safety curtains. Troubleshoot and resolve simple product quality issues. Meet required production standards and tolerances. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of assembly or fabrication experience. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity to assemble parts accurately. Understanding of MSDS and handling of hazardous materials. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Regular attendance. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and reach above shoulders up to 25% of the time. Ability to work overtime as needed. Preferred Thermoforming experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and reach above shoulder level for portions of the shift. Ability to work overtime as required.
