Position Summary:
Job Overview A Wood Worker / Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling wooden products such as furniture, cabinets, fixtures, and components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read cut list, and maintain quality and safety standards during production. Key Responsibilities Assemble wooden components, furniture, cabinets, or fixtures according to specifications. Read and interpret, diagrams, and work orders. Measure, cut, sand, and fit wood parts to ensure proper assembly. Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, nail guns, and sanders. Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards. Install hardware such as hinges, brackets, handles, and fasteners. Repair or replace damaged wood components when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment. Work with team members to meet daily production goals. Required Skills and Qualifications Basic knowledge of woodworking and assembly techniques. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to read measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous woodworking, carpentry, furniture assembly, and manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Standing for long periods of time. Repetitive hand movements. Bending, reaching, and handling wood materials. Work Environment Woodworking Manufacturing or workshop environment. Exposure to wood dust, noise from machinery, and production equipment.
