This role reads blueprints and engineering drawings, performs in-process quality checks, and works safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple fabrication processes and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines, CNC/turret punch presses, and press brakes to fabricate parts per engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup, tooling, and production sequence. Program, edit, or load CNC programs as needed (G-code/M-code or CAM software) and select correct tooling for each job. Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to confirm parts meet tolerance. Set bend angles, sequences, and tooling on the press brake to produce accurate formed parts. Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor tooling changes; report equipment issues promptly. Maintain accurate production records, including router/traveler paperwork, quantities, and time tracking. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S). Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other shop personnel to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC equipment, turret punch presses, and/or press brakes in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
