Job Title:
Fabrication Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling metal cabinets in a manufacturing environment using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. You will follow detailed assembly instructions, operate cutting equipment, and ensure all components are accurately counted, organized, and stacked to meet production and quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble metal cabinets according to detailed assembly instructions and production specifications. Operate a band saw to cut materials safely and accurately for cabinet fabrication. Use a glass cutting machine to cut glass components to the required measurements. Work with basic hand tools and power drills to fasten, secure, and assemble components. Count and organize nuts, screws, bolts, and other hardware to ensure accurate inventory for each assembly. Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently and correctly. Stack and stage completed cabinets in designated areas to support workflow and shipping. Lift and move boxes, cabinet components, and finished products as needed throughout the shift. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of tools, equipment, and required protective gear. Essential Skills Proven ability to assemble products using hand tools and power tools, including drills and wrenches. Experience working in an assembly or fabrication environment, with 2 years of experience preferred. Ability to read, understand, and follow assembly instructions and production guidelines. Strong attention to detail when counting and organizing nuts, screws, bolts, and other small components. Capability to lift up to 75 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift. Comfort operating a band saw and glass cutting machine or willingness to learn under supervision. Reliable work habits and consistency in following safety and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments is a plus. Familiarity with using hand drills, wrenches, and other basic shop tools. Ability to work efficiently on a first-shift schedule. Comfort working in a structured production setting with defined processes and goals. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a first-shift schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work around fabrication equipment, including band saws, glass cutting machines, and standard hand and power tools. The environment involves standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the day. Steel toe boots are required as part of the dress code to support a safe and compliant workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Farmingdale, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
