Full Job Description Lead Assembly Technician Pay:
$20-23 per hour (based on experience) Position Summary Bluewater is looking for a dependable, hands-on Lead Assembly Technician to help organize and support our assembly department. This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing or assembly experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility while continuing to work alongside the team. The Lead Assembly Technician will assist with coordinating daily production, maintaining inventory, training team members, and ensuring products are built accurately and on time. Responsibilities Assemble electrical and mechanical products, cable assemblies, and value-added products. Help prioritize daily production to meet customer deadlines. Assist with assigning work and answering questions from assembly team members. Operate Komax wire processing equipment, crimp presses, hand tools, and cable testing equipment. Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing when materials need to be reordered. Keep the assembly area clean, organized, and efficient. Help train new employees on assembly procedures and quality expectations. Work with the sales, purchasing, shipping, and engineering teams to keep projects moving. Suggest improvements to make assembly processes safer and more efficient. Perform other manufacturing and assembly duties as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred. Previous experience in cable assembly, wire harnesses, electrical assembly, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment. Able to read work instructions and assembly drawings. Good communication and organizational skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
