About the Role EMG manufactures high-end custom cabling and electronic components for pro audio production and live event space. As an Assembly Shop Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in building and preparing high-quality wired assemblies that meet the quality demands of Global Pro Audio, Entertainment Production and Concert Touring systems. You'll work closely with your Team Leader and Assembly Shop Manager, contributing your skills and attention to detail to products that reflect our reputation for craftsmanship in the pro audio industry. What You'll Do Prepare wire for upcoming jobs — measuring, cutting, stripping, heat-shrinking, and tinning as directed. Build wired assemblies that consistently pass Quality Control, working under the direction of a Team Leader or Assembly Shop Manager. Deliver every assembly to the highest standard of technique and construction — a standard we hold among the best in the industry. Keep your Team Leader or Assembly Shop Manager informed of anything that could affect timelines, parts, tools, hardware, or skills needed to complete a task. Produce standard assemblies with little to no direction once you're up to speed. Work toward zero rejections from Quality Control and zero customer returns due to quality issues. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies closely. Maintain accurate inventory control. Support shipping and job-prep activities, and pitch in on other company projects as needed. Help keep morale and performance strong, even when workloads are heavy. Flag potential problems early — no surprises. Help train new team members as needed. Use the company's manufacturing software to keep job status current and accurate. What You Bring 3+ years of experience working with electronic components, cable manufacturing, or equivalent work experience in a production environment. Skilled at stripping, heat-shrinking, tinning, and soldering wire. Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction well. High attention to detail. Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. Able to read electrical schematics and design assembly drawings. Nice to Have Degree or certification in electronics. Forklift experience or certification. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices. Room to Grow Technicians who go above and beyond stand out by: Proposing systems that meaningfully cut costs, boost quality, or streamline operations.
