We make knives that people take into the field, depend on for years, and often pass down from one generation to the next, and every Buck knife is built by people who take pride in making it right. We're looking for people who want to become Knifemakers. You don't need years of knifemaking or manufacturing experience. If you're dependable, enjoy working with your hands, pay attention to detail, and are willing to learn, we'll teach you the processes and skills that go into building a Buck knife.

Pay & Schedule Pay:

$18.00 per hour

Day Shift:

Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM-4:00 PM Our regular production schedule gives you a three-day weekend when overtime isn't scheduled.

Please Note:

Mandatory overtime is scheduled on Fridays as production needs require, typically 1-3 Fridays per month. What You'll Do As a Knifemaker, you'll work hands-on with our products throughout the manufacturing and assembly process. Depending on your assigned area and training, you may: Assemble knives and knife components Sand, edge, sharpen, tycro, buff, clean, and package knives Work with hand tools, power tools, hydraulic presses, grinding wheels, leather wheels, and other production equipment Inspect knives and components for quality Handle small parts quickly, accurately, and repetitively Meet established production and cycle-time standards Safely handle knives and sharp components throughout your shift Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S practices Follow work instructions, safety requirements, and company procedures Work as part of a team to produce quality Buck Knives What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Enjoy working with your hands Take pride in the quality of your work Are dependable and have strong attendance Pay attention to the details Can perform repetitive work while maintaining quality Work well in a team environment Can follow written and verbal instructions Are comfortable working with tools and manufacturing equipment Are willing to learn new processes and develop new skills Can work safely around sharp knives and moving equipment Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred, or three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. No previous knifemaking experience is required. We're looking for people with the right attitude, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position.

Knifemakers must be able to:

Stand for a 10-hour shift Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Use their hands for detailed and repetitive work Reach, walk, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift Work safely around production equipment, moving mechanical parts, and sharp objects Perform visual inspection of products and components Become a Buck Knifemaker If you're looking for an opportunity to work with your hands, learn new skills, and take pride in the products you build, we'd like to hear from you. Requirements:

This position will initially be payrolled through Express Employment Professionals during the initial training period, with the opportunity to transition to direct employment with Buck Knives upon successful completion of initial training.
