Grayhill designs and manufactures intuitive human interface solutions that make life simpler, safer and more efficient. Standard products include optical encoders, rotary switches, keypads, joysticks, displays, touchscreens and pushbuttons. These components are sold to thousands of customers around the globe. Hours:
2nd shift (3:20pm - 11:50pm)
  • This position is located in our Carpentersville, IL facility
  • Summary Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems built by the company to engineering and customer specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
  • Operate sophisticated automation machinery.
  • Frequently operate machinery in a clean room environment or other non-cell based environment.
  • Insure application of prescribed methods and processes through documentation of set-up parameters and evaluation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data.
  • Provide assistance in the training and development of Assembler Trainees and Assembler II associates.
  • Demonstrate good proficiency of product knowledge and is able to converse with both internal and external customers.
  • Inventory and requisition tools, equipment, and supplies for department activities.
  • Work with material managers on piece part quality projects.
  • Contact other resources, as necessary, to aid in the solution of manufacturing problems and initiates corrective actions that are preventative in nature.
  • Conduct daily safety checks on all equipment.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
