In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling complex aerospace components with precision and accuracy, ensuring that every part meets strict quality standards. Your expertise in mechanical assembly, interpreting technical drawings, and using specialized industrial tools will contribute directly to the production of high-quality aerospace products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are celebrated. Your efforts will help propel innovative aerospace projects from concept to completion, supporting the safety and success of cutting-edge aircraft and spacecraft. Responsibilities Assemble aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate assembly. Measure parts with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math calculations, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions. Use mechanical knowledge to interpret manufacturing instructions and ensure proper fitting of parts through mechanical blueprint interpretation. Conduct soldering and machining tasks as required for component assembly or repair. Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling manual and pneumatic tools safely. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to warehouse safety standards and procedures. Assist in quality control inspections by verifying measurements with precision measuring instruments and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. Interpret technical drawings accurately to facilitate precise assembly processes in accordance with manufacturing standards. Preferred Experience Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environments, preferably within aerospace or related industries. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is essential. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, machining, soldering, and the use of power tools or specialized industrial tools. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices. Ability to interpret shop math concepts necessary for accurate measurements and calculations during assembly processes. Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory management and material handling procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail ensures high-quality work output. Forklift experience a plus; not required. Bridgeport or lathe experience a plus; not required. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong follow-through and attention to detail. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems. Clear, professional communication with suppliers and internal teams. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to take ownership while also knowing when to escalate an issue.
