In the role of Assembly Operator, you will assemble a variety of electrical fastening products and components using hands, machinery, or hand tools. You will adhere closely to work instructions and drawings to uphold quality standards. Your focus on performing quality checks will help ensure parts reach nVent's world-class quality.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Work alone or with others to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, or package a product or product component. Follow Work Instructions throughout the process. Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand the bussing requirements for switchgear systems. Install busbars within switchgear enclosures, ensuring accurate insulation, grounding, and secure connections. Select and move production materials as required. Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation. Meet established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. Record accurate information on Manufacturing Order and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. Align with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Report adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to the department leader by following the process for addressing critical issues. Adhere to department 5S standards daily. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Following the protocol for handling critical issues, alert the team leader or other suitable contacts when concerns arise involving safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc. Demonstrate flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma. Minimum of 1 year experience as an Assembler, preferred. Proficiency in using tools and equipment. Ability to read and understand instructions in manuals and blueprints. Strong attention to detail.
