Job Title:

Mechanical Assembly Production Associate Job Description This role focuses on supporting the fabrication, mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products to meet customer specifications in a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled production environment. You will work with hand tools, machinery, and wiring to assemble and test products, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the production process. Responsibilities Aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products to meet customer specifications. Mount assembly components, hardware, and compounds according to established procedures and blueprints. Connect, test, and pack various assembled materials or products to ensure they meet quality standards. Oversee machines that press, shape, cut, and cure various assemblies, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed. Use hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques to build and complete production assemblies. Perform general labor tasks associated with production and assembly operations. Follow production schedules and instructions to meet daily output and quality goals. Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Collaborate with team members and technicians to resolve assembly or production issues quickly and effectively. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a fabrication or production environment. Ability to work with hand tools safely and effectively for assembly and general labor tasks. Familiarity with production and mechanical assembly processes, including mounting components and hardware. Capability to oversee and operate machines that press, shape, cut, and cure assemblies. Basic understanding of wiring in an assembly or production setting. Ability to read and follow blueprints or assembly instructions. Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Reliability in adhering to a consistent day shift schedule (MondayFriday, 6:00 a.m.2:30 p.m.). Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a fabrication environment. Experience in production assembly or as a production associate. Comfort working around running equipment and light industrial noise. Willingness to perform both mechanical assembly and general labor tasks as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a temperature-controlled, clean, and well-organized production facility with slight noise from running equipment. Work is performed on a day shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment is structured to support safe and efficient mechanical assembly work, with access to hand tools, machinery for pressing, shaping, cutting, and curing assemblies, and clearly defined work areas to maintain order and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
