South Elgin, IL Long-Term, Ongoing Assignment Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Assembler to support a production team in an assembly work cell. This position will assist with training team members, assigning daily tasks, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure production deadlines are met. This is a hands-on leadership role in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both electronic and mechanical assembly. Responsibilities Lead and support a production team within an assembly work cell. Train employees on assembly procedures, work instructions, and quality standards. Assist with electronic and mechanical assembly, PCB assembly, testing, and box builds. Assign duties and help coordinate daily production activities. Work on special projects as assigned by management. Monitor and enforce quality and safety procedures. Provide coverage for employees who are absent or on vacation. Communicate production issues, equipment problems, or delays to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred. Previous lead or training experience is a plus. Ability to read and follow work instructions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to use hands for repetitive assembly tasks. Ability to bend, reach, and handle materials throughout the shift. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. Schedule & Pay 1stShift:
